The French teachers insisted on expressing their appreciation of what the students were doing: debating about Facebook addiction for about an hour with no teacher in class. They talked about the importance of learning English and encouraged them to keep up the good work. They also wished students were interested in French as well.

Hind Edderkawi, an active resource center member, talked to students in the public speaking club, about how low self-confidence; that is lacking faith in one's abilities, impacts us in our lives. She showed how to improve self-esteem and develop self-confidence, which is ultimately trusting that you have what it takes to be who you want to be.
